Materials :

red construction (sugar paper) for socks

green colored paper for leaves

green glitters

yellow colored paper for candle

several socks templates (teacher to prepare)

several leaves and candle templates (teacher to prepare)

yellow or any contrasting colored wool

scissors

glue



METHOD :

1.  Pass the different templates around.   Let children trace the 
       templates and cut it out.

2.  Teacher to punch holes about 1 " apart around the socks.

3.  Children can start the craft in any order, depending on what they
       can do next.

4.  Use wool to sew the socks.  

5.  Glue the candle and leaves on the socks.

6.  Use a brush to paint the word "Merry Christmas" with glue.

7.  Sprinkle green glitters on the glue.

8.  Teacher to hang socks up as mobiles.
