This time, she was awakened by some noises that was more familiar and not scary to her. She did not know how long she had been out there alone. The sky was bright and the sun was shining again. She walked towards the familiar sounds. It was not her mother's voice but it was something she felt safe about. It was not a long walk when she saw the pond. In fact, she was just a few feet away from the pond all the time. She had been running in circles around the pond the whole night and did not realize it because it was too dark. She could see her family swimming in the pond near the reeds.

She dashed into the pond and swam towards them, calling out to them all the time, "quack-quack, quack-quack". This time, she did get a reply. Her family heard her call and they all swam to greet her. They were united as a family again. Mother duck cried when she saw her missing duckling. It was tears of joy to see her again. She thought she had lost her beautiful Dizzy forever. They hugged each other and Dizzy learned her lesson well. She always paid attention to where they were going from then on. She followed along closely. That one scary experience was enough to last her a lifetime.
